Job summary

ENFRA is seeking a Commissioning Vice President to lead the development of best practices for a profitable commissioning division in the energy infrastructure sector.

Responsibilities include aligning internal operations, partnering with accounting on financials, ensuring quality control, and mentoring directors and project managers to drive a strong, collaborative organization. Travel will be required to support project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in building construction or related mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and online commissioning software such as CxAlloy.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to tackle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• ANSI Commissioning Certification credentials (e.g. BCCB, ACG, ASHRAE).
• Willingness to travel 25–40% to job sites/offices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the alignment of internal operational aspects of successful project delivery.
• Partner with accounting leadership to monitor financial aspects of business operations.
• Ensure quality control for commissioning approach and deliverables.
• Develop efficient organizational structure and succession planning.
• Drive consistent cross-functional communication across commissioning, engineering and construction leaders.
• Mentor Commissioning Directors and Project Managers in business planning and analytics.
• Establish budget controls and coordinate project/process changes to optimize cost/benefit.
• Strengthen client relationships through day-to-day operations.
• Conduct contract negotiation, management, and project interviews.
• Oversee workload forecasting, staffing, and performance management.
• Develop and execute commissioning initiatives identified during strategic planning.
• Serve as liaison with global account management, marketing and internal communications.
• Drive the identification and development of new business opportunities in commissioning.
