Job summary

Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana seeks a visionary Senior Advancement Leader to drive the chapter's fundraising strategy, accelerate major gifts, and align programs with growth goals. You will lead the Major Gifts team, partner with the President & CEO and board volunteers, and ensure effective donor care and reporting.

This role requires a track record in major gifts, durable relationships with donors and boards, proficiency with Salesforce, and the ability to collaborate across departments

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; 10+ years successful development/marketing or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to work autonomously and keep senior leaders apprised of issues and progress.
• Experience with donors, boards, committees, and community volunteers.
• Strong written and spoken communication with fiscal knowledge and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Major Gifts team through coaching, performance management, and professional growth.
• Maintain a portfolio of major gift prospects with personalized engagement and stewardship plans.
• Collaborate with President & CEO, executive team, and boards to advance fundraising priorities.
• Oversee stewardship, donor care, and reporting to ensure growth aligned with strategic plan.
• Drive major gifts and leadership gifts to secure transformational funding opportunities.
