Job summary

Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana is seeking an Advancement Associate to execute fundraising strategies and help drive revenue under the direction of Advancement leadership.

The role focuses on soliciting and stewarding donors, managing relationships, and collaborating with internal teams to grow a robust donor pipeline and support chapter events.

Strong communication, fundraising experience, and willingness to travel up to 20% are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 1–2 years work experience, preferably in fundraising or revenue generation.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Able to successfully work in a collaborative, team-oriented organization.
• Ability to motivate and support a diverse constituency in a team-oriented atmosphere.
• Flexibility to travel overnight up to 20% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Solicit, secure and steward donors to achieve revenue goals.
• Advance relationships through management of a portfolio of donors and prospects.
• Track progress toward revenue goals and expenses using Salesforce and chapter forms.
• Effectively steward existing donors with regular value-added contact.
• Provide a customized donor experience with prompt, thorough service.
• Collaborate with internal support teams to pursue new donors and sponsorships.
• Leverage constituents to identify new supporters.
• Build and maintain relationships internally and externally.
• Support strategy and execution of chapter events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
