Job summary

Make-A-Wish® Northeastern & Central California is seeking a Director of Development to oversee a diverse giving portfolio and drive multi-year six-figure gifts. You will partner with the Senior Director of Chapter Advancement to craft and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy across individuals, major gifts, corporate partnerships, grants, events, and peer-to-peer campaigns.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of nonprofit fundraising experience across multiple channels.
• Demonstrated ability to secure revenue goals through major gifts, grants, events, and campaigns.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication with donors and partners.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and donor databases (e.g., Salesforce).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement fundraising strategies to meet revenue goals.
• Lead donor stewardship for individual and major gifts.
• Grow monthly donor programs and major gift initiatives.
• Develop sponsorships and partnership proposals with corporate sponsors.
• Lead and manage fundraising events from strategy to execution.
• Oversee digital fundraising campaigns and donor engagement.
• Represent Make-A-Wish NCC with community leaders and stakeholders.
