Job summary

InnovAge is seeking a Vice President, Associate General Counsel & Privacy Officer to provide company-wide legal counsel on AI governance, data privacy, HIPAA compliance, and cybersecurity risk management.

The AGC will serve as Chief Privacy Officer, interface with the executive leadership team on privacy matters, supervise the contract management system, review IT and vendor agreements, and collaborate with IT, Compliance, Procurement and other business areas.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in good standing in the United States.
• 7+ years of legal experience with at least three years of full time law firm experience.
• Extensive training and experience negotiating high dollar IT and vendor agreements.
• Strong drafting skills for complex matters and AI governance.
• Comprehensive expertise in privacy and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial contracting, including software licensing, SaaS, AI platform and vendor contracts.
• Oversee AI governance and Responsible AI initiatives with senior stakeholders.
• Advise on HIPAA privacy, security, breach notification, and PHI handling.
• Provide legal oversight for cybersecurity governance, incident response, and regulatory reporting.
