Job summary

Together AI is seeking a Senior Counsel to help build the legal and compliance foundation behind our AI infrastructure and the products our customers depend on. You’ll partner with Product, Engineering, Research, Security, Infrastructure, and Sales to move quickly while keeping risk in view.

Focus areas include product terms, privacy programs across GDPR/UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and other regimes, export controls, patent and licensing strategy, and open-source licensing.

Qualifications

• JD and active bar license in good standing.
• 7+ years at a top law firm and/or in-house at a tech company (cloud, infra, semiconductors, SaaS, or AI).
• Experience advising product and engineering teams and drafting product terms.
• Hands-on experience with global privacy law and running a privacy program.
• Working knowledge of export controls (EAR/OFAC).
• Experience with technology and IP licensing, including open-source licenses.

Responsibilities

• Draft and maintain customer-facing product terms.
• Own and evolve our privacy program across GDPR/UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and other regimes.
• Advise on export controls and related regimes for GPU access, cloud services, model weights, and onboarding.
• Develop policies, training, controls, and monitoring with cross-functional teams.
• Help build and run our patent program and align filing strategy with business priorities.
