Job summary

Addison Properties seeks a strategic Vice President of Land Acquisition to lead sourcing, evaluation, and closing of development opportunities in the Columbus Metro area. You will drive residential and mixed-use growth, manage entitlement processes, and coordinate with internal and external teams to secure transformative sites.

The role requires a track record of closing sophisticated land deals, market analysis, and stakeholder management, with travel regionally and a focus on long-term value

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, Engineering, Construction Management or related field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in land acquisition and real estate development.
• Strong understanding of real estate economics, entitlement processes, and market analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to structure and close complex transactions.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel regionally as needed.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Highly organized and self-motivated with a results-driven approach.

Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate land acquisition opportunities in target markets.
• Conduct due diligence including zoning, environmental, title, and utility assessments.
• Determine land values through market comps and development trends.
• Lead negotiations and manage contracting for land acquisitions.
• Coordinate with Development and Engineering teams for entitlement and feasibility.
• Interface with municipalities and planning departments for approvals.
• Review purchase agreements, LOIs, and related legal docs.
• Structure and manage joint venture agreements and partnerships.
• Maintain strong relationships with brokers, landowners, builders, and municipalities.
