Job summary

Unknown Client, a growing private regional builder, seeks an experienced Vice President of Land Acquisition to lead land acquisition and development strategy across Florida and potential expansion. The role oversees market analysis, sourcing, underwriting, negotiations, due diligence, and acquisitions while fostering relationships with landowners, brokers, developers, municipalities, and other partners.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in residential land acquisition, development, or homebuilding.
Strong knowledge of land valuation, financial modeling, entitlements, and residential development.
Proven track record of sourcing and closing successful land transactions.
Exceptional negotiation, analytical, leadership, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute land acquisition strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate residential land opportunities.
Lead financial underwriting, feasibility analysis, due diligence, and acquisition approvals.
Manage and mentor the land acquisition team and coordinate with development, finance, construction, and operations.
Maintain a strong pipeline of future land opportunities and market intelligence.
Build and maintain relationships with brokers, landowners, developers, municipalities, and industry stakeholders.
Monitor market trends, zoning, entitlement opportunities, competition, and land values.
