Job summary

Delta Dental of California seeks a visionary Vice President, Infrastructure & Engineering to lead the strategy, design, delivery, operation, and continuous improvement of enterprise infrastructure and technology operations. This role drives reliability, security, automation, and employee experience while aligning with business risk and value, reporting to executive leadership.

This role will require onsite presence at least 3 days per week, with responsibilities spanning governance, capacity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for infrastructure strategy, design, delivery, operation, and continuous improvement.
• Establish SLOs, SLAs, observability, and incident management practices; lead high-severity events.
• Oversee secure, scalable enterprise infrastructure, platforms, and production support capabilities.
• Drive modernization through cloud, containers, IaC, CI/CD, and automation.
• Plan capacity, governance, change control, vendor management, and knowledge management.
• Communicate strategy and risk to executive stakeholders and governance forums.
