Job summary

Imagine Pediatrics, a pediatric care group, seeks a Vice President of Business Development in Nashville to own deal strategy for Medicaid managed care and related contracts. You will lead senior health plan relationships, negotiate value-based care terms, and coordinate across finance, legal, clinical, and implementation teams to move deals from prospecting to go-live.

The role requires deep Medicaid program knowledge, executive presence, and the ability to travel up to 40% while driving

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in healthcare, including health plans, medical groups, providers, or healthcare delivery organizations.
• Proven track record as lead negotiator on value-based care contracts with payers, from origination through contract execution.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead relationships with senior health plan stakeholders; Medicaid managed care experience preferred.
• Deep expertise in value-based care programs, risk arrangements, and Medicaid markets.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end origination through contract execution across Medicaid managed care within a defined book of business.
• Lead relationships with senior health plan stakeholders and state Medicaid leadership; serve as primary executive contact.
• Direct value-based care contract negotiations with payers across the full contract scope.
• Set deal structure and risk modeling strategy; provide pricing/structure recommendations to executives.
• Shape BD strategy and growth planning including GTM and expansion opportunities.
• Mobilize cross-functional teams (finance, legal, clinical, implementation) as deals progress.
• Provide ELT updates, board materials, and external representation at conferences.
