Job summary

Fluence Energy, LLC is seeking a Vice President of Systems Engineering to serve as the executive technical authority for the Product BU, owning system architecture, MBSE, V&V, certification, and product reliability. This leader aligns with multiple functions and drives engineering standards and governance across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field; advanced degree preferred.
• 20+ years of progressive engineering leadership in complex product development.
• 10+ years leading global engineering organizations and executive stakeholders.
• Expertise in systems architecture, requirements mgmt, MBSE, V&V, and release.
• Experience with functional safety, regulatory compliance, reliability engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a long-term Systems Engineering strategy aligned to BU goals.
• Lead global Systems Engineering governance, standards, and budget.
• Chair architecture reviews and resolve cross-functional conflicts.
• Own enterprise architecture, interface mgmt, and traceability across lifecycles.
• Drive verification/validation, certification, and product assurance.
• Lead labs, HIL testing, and field reliability improvement.
• Provide technical leadership from concept to end-of-life.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Customer Success.
