Job summary

Fluence Energy seeks a Senior Test Engineering Manager to lead cross‑functional testing for battery energy storage systems, spanning hardware, software and integration layers.

You will drive test strategy, automation and global initiatives, collaborating with R&D, product management and manufacturing to ensure performance, reliability and safety across all Fluence products. Strong leadership and PMP preferred; energy storage testing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering.
• Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams.
• Strong program management skills including scheduling, budgeting and resource planning.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with focus on risks and optimization.
• PMP certification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop test strategies for BESS hardware, software and system-level validation.
• Research and implement new trends, tools and technologies to enhance testing.
• Drive test automation to streamline validation processes.
• Manage global testing initiatives across the US, Europe and future sites.
• Collaborate with the technical director on lab infrastructure development and upgrades.
• Integrate advanced testing technologies like HIL and digital twins into workflows.
