Job summary

Fluence Energy is seeking a Senior Director to lead the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Global Product Cost function. You will govern end-to-end PLM and cost data across markets, drive cost-down initiatives, and partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to optimize configurations and price-to-margin outcomes.

You will build and lead a team, report to executive leadership, and represent the function in Board reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in an engineering or technical field with commercial training a plus.
• 12+ years in product management/operations, cost engineering, or related leadership roles.
• Direct PLM and product cost leadership experience for configurable hardware at scale.
• Strong financial fluency and executive-facing communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead PLM and Global Product Cost across markets and platforms.
• Own monthly per-market cost curves and cost governance with senior leadership.
• Maintain standard product configurations and ensure correct data in pricing/quoting systems.
• Drive cross-functional cost-down execution with Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing and Engineering.
• Interface with Engineering on ECN/ECO and ensure changes reflect in PLM and CPQ data.
• Build and mentor the PLM & Global Product Cost team for portfolio complexity.
