Job summary

Fluence Energy seeks a transformative Vice President, Power and Systems to lead the global direct materials strategy and execution for power conversion, electrical systems, and balance of plant. You will drive scale to >$5B annual spend while improving gross margin through strategic sourcing and supplier optimization.

You will design organization, own cost discipline, and lead major supplier negotiations, with accountability to CFO and CPO.

Qualifications

• 15-20+ years in direct materials, category management, strategic sourcing, or supply chain leadership.
• Ownership of large direct materials spend with COGS accountability.
• Experience scaling a portfolio and organization through rapid growth.

Responsibilities

• Design and scale the direct materials organization for >$5B spend.
• Own category strategy and supplier architecture.
• Lead large, multi-year supplier negotiations and agreements.
• Sponsor advanced procurement within product lifecycle decisions.
• Ensure supply continuity, risk management, and quality across portfolios.
• Develop talent and succession plans for Director and Manager roles.
• Provide executive partnership across Product, Engineering, Manufacturing and Finance.
