Job summary

Universal Avionics is seeking a visionary VP of Engineering to lead a multidisciplinary organization responsible for developing innovative, safety-critical technologies across software, hardware, systems, FPGA, mechanical, optical design, and verification. This executive role reports to leadership and shapes long-term technology strategy.

You will build a culture of engineering excellence, develop future leaders, and ensure the highest standards of quality and certification in a global aerospace

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 10+ years aerospace or related engineering experience.
• Significant executive or senior engineering leadership experience.
• Experience leading engineering in regulated aerospace environments (FAA, DO-178/254).

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing, multidisciplinary engineering organization.
• Define and execute engineering and technology strategy.
• Mentor and develop engineering leaders and successors.
• Partner with Product Management, Operations, Quality, and executive leadership.
• Ensure certification processes and safety standards are met.
