Job summary

The Senior Director of Software Engineering will own architecture, delivery, and operations for high-throughput financial systems, while building a capable team across multiple services.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience with leadership roles.
• Experience in regulated fintech, lending, or payments platforms.
• Distributed, event-driven microservices for high-volume systems.
• Underwriting/decisioning or loan/payments pipelines experience.
• Cloud-native architecture and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Funding & Payments engineering team with a multi-quarter roadmap.
• Mentor managers and senior ICs to build a high-performance culture.
• Define hiring, calibration and career development for the team.
• Own architecture, reliability, and security of underwriting and payments systems.
• Partner with Product, Risk, Compliance, and Ops to align delivery.
