The Senior Director of Software Engineering will lead the Funding & Payments engineering team, owning architecture, delivery, and operations of high‑volume financial systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in engineering with 5+ years in leadership roles managing managers.
• Experience leading engineering for complex, regulated fintech, lending, or payments platforms.
• Deep expertise in distributed, event-driven microservices architecture for high-volume systems.
• Strong cloud-native design, API, and CI/CD practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management across Product, Risk, and Compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Funding & Payments engineering team with a path to broader ownership.
• Own architecture, reliability, and performance of underwriting, funding, and payments flows.
• Set engineering standards for security, compliance, and auditability in a regulated environment.
• Collaborate with Product, Risk, Compliance, and Operations to align delivery with business outcomes.
