GoodLeap's B2B Pros platform powers contractor financing and payments, and the Senior Director of Software Engineering will lead the Funding & Payments engineering team. This is a hands-on technical leadership role, architecting resilient, high-throughput financial systems while scaling the team responsible for underwriting, funding, and payments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience, with 5+ years in technical leadership.
• Proven track record in complex, regulated fintech, lending, or payments platforms.
• Experience with distributed, event-driven microservices.
• Experience with underwriting/decisioning systems or payments processing.
• Strong cloud-native design, AWS or equivalent, and CI/CD.
• Ability to hire, scale teams, and manage cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership & People Management: Lead and grow the Funding & Payments engineering team, mentor managers, own hiring and career development, define multi-quarter roadmaps.
• Technical Leadership: Own architecture and reliability of underwriting, submission, funding, and payments systems; enforce security and auditability.
• Cross-Functional Execution: Partner with Product, Risk, Compliance, and Operations; align delivery with outcomes; define KPIs.
• Process & Platform Maturity: Drive CI/CD, observability, deployment automation, and manage technical debt and scalability.
