Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience with 5+ years in technical leadership.
• Proven track record leading engineering for fintech, lending, or payments.
• Deep experience with distributed, event-driven microservices.
• Experience with underwriting/decisioning or payments processing.
• Strong cloud-native architecture, API design, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Funding & Payments engineering team with a path to ownership.
• Mentor managers and senior ICs to build an accountable culture.
• Own hiring, calibration, and career development for the team.
• Define a multi-quarter roadmap tied to underwriting, funding, and payments.
• Own architecture and reliability across underwriting, funding, and payments.
• Guide decisions in a distributed services ecosystem with high volume.
• Set engineering standards for security, compliance, and auditability.
• Champion modern practices and AI-assisted development to raise velocity.
• Partner with Product, Risk, Compliance, and Operations on outcomes.
• Define KPIs for transaction volume, conversion, and risk metrics.
• Drive CI/CD, observability, deployment automation, and debt management.
