Job summary

Banc of California seeks a VP-level Client Manager for its Fund Finance practice to oversee relationships with venture capital and private equity borrowers. You will monitor capital-call lines, coordinate with originations and support teams, and pursue revenue opportunities while aligning non-loan services with client needs.

The role requires strong negotiation, credit analysis, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 3+ years of client relationship or portfolio management experience in lending/credit.
• Willingness to travel 1–2 days per quarter if needed.
• CPA, CFA or MBA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor portfolio performance and compliance; negotiate/close loan amendments.
• Lead deal processes for new loans with clients, including underwriting and approvals.
• Collaborate with legal, risk, and operations teams to deliver services.
• Deliver high-quality client experiences, anticipate needs, and build trust.
• Communicate issues and craft resolutions with clients or supervisors.
• Prepare management reports on portfolio performance.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members in underwriting/compliance.
• Support performance evaluations and goal planning when needed.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures; handle additional duties as assigned.
