Job summary

Banc of California is seeking a VP, Client Manager in Boston to own all aspects of borrower relationships within an assigned portfolio and deliver an outstanding client experience.

You will collaborate with Origination to ensure smooth transitions into Portfolio Management, monitor borrower performance, and lead underwriting and closing processes for additional funding requests. A strong finance background is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of lending, credit, and venture-backed finance principles.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel; ability to analyze financial data.
• Bachelor’s Degree and/or relevant work experience or training is required; CPA/MBA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of borrower relationships within the assigned portfolio and retain quality clients.
• Remediate underperforming borrowers with minimal losses.
• LeadPortfolio Management collaboration with Origination prior to loan closing for seamless transfer.
• Proactively track performance of client operations and monitor funding capacity with VC sponsors.
• Ensure all credits are graded per bank risk rating procedures and perform collateral verification.
