Job summary

Branch Financial, LLC is seeking a Vice President of Finance to lead FP&A, product finance, and business insights. You will steer the annual plan, long-range financial model, and forecast cadence, collaborating with executives to shape strategy and major investments.

You will manage a team of 10, partner with cross-functional leaders, and report results to the CFO and board, enabling data-driven decisions and disciplined financial planning across the organization.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of FP&A, strategic finance, or related roles.
• 5+ years leading managers.
• Proven track record owning planning and forecasting for a business in insurance or regulated environments.
• Deep knowledge of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and unit economics.
• Experience leading or working with a BI or data team and strong data-driven decision making.
• Experience building, coaching, and growing teams of managers.
• Advanced skills in Google Sheets and financial planning tools.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field; MBA a plus.
• Strong understanding of insurance financial metrics (loss ratios, expense ratios, combined ratios).
• Experience supporting board-level financial reporting and investor relations.

Responsibilities

• Set the direction for FP&A, product finance, and business insights; ensure alignment with company goals.
• Run annual planning and long-range financial model end-to-end; obtain CFO approval.
• Oversee forecasting, budget tracking, variance analysis across departments.
• Present financial results, forecasts, and recommendations to executives.
• Lead strategic finance work: business cases, unit economics, growth and pricing analyses.
• Oversee business insights and data quality; establish standard reporting.
• Create company-wide planning and budgeting processes; empower department owners.
• Identify trends and risks and propose early actions.
• Partner with Accounting, Actuarial, Product, Sales, Claims, and Data leads to align financial plans with operations.
• Manage a team of 10; hire, coach, and develop future leaders.
• Prepare board materials and investor communications; support fundraising with CFO.
