Job summary

Sedgwick Government Solutions in Bethesda, MD seeks a VP of Business Development to shape and win priority federal opportunities. You will drive growth across healthcare, claims administration, managed care and mission-support services, engaging executives and partners to position SGS for success.

You will lead capture, proposal development, and cross‑functional collaboration, building trusted relationships with government leaders while guiding strategic account plans and market-entry decisions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
Minimum of five years of federal business development, capture management, sales or growth strategy experience for government services or solutions.
Proven success identifying, shaping, capturing and winning complex government opportunities.
Experience developing account plans, capture strategies and executive‑level pipeline forecasts.
U.S. citizen and able to obtain/maintain security clearance; willing to travel.

Responsibilities

Lead strategy and execution of federal growth initiatives, including account development, partnerships and teaming.
Drive opportunities from identification through capture and proposal submission.
Develop strategic account plans and provide market-entry recommendations.
Build and maintain a qualified pipeline with win strategies and revenue forecasts.
Collaborate across strategy, capture, proposals, operations, finance, contracts, legal and HR.
