Job summary

Vontier is establishing a new Center of Excellence spanning Product Management, Engineering, and Product Marketing to raise rigor and consistency in how our operating companies plan, build, launch, and support products. The Vice President, Product Excellence will lead this COE, reporting to the Chief Innovation and Growth Officer.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve Vontier's enterprise product operating system — roadmapping, portfolio governance, stage-gate/agile NPD process, and the quarterly and annual product line review cadence — so every business plans and reports to a common standard.
• Partner with business CPOs/product leaders to ensure roadmaps, investment cases, and portfolio architecture decisions are rigorous, data-driven, and explicitly tied to enterprise strategy.
• Maintain the shared tools, templates, and metrics (NPD funnel health, portfolio financial bridges, win/loss discipline, pricing and cost analysis) that make product line reviews a forum for decisions, not just reporting.
• Act as the bridge between the product teams in the business and the corporate teams to ensure alignment and support.
