Job summary

Everest is seeking a seasoned Vice President, Credit Risk to lead the enterprise credit risk framework within the ERM team. This role reports to SVP of Financial Risk and focuses on risk appetite, capital allocation, and portfolio management.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in P&C underwriting credit risk, strong governance, and the ability to engage with senior leadership, boards, and rating agencies to drive disciplined growth.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in credit risk or related risk disciplines.
• Deep expertise in P&C underwriting credit risk.
• Experience briefing executives, boards, regulators.
• Demonstrated success building enterprise risk frameworks.
• Strong portfolio management and stress testing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key member of the ERM Leadership Team and shape risk strategy.
• Develop an enterprise-wide vision for credit risk management.
• Advise senior management on emerging credit risks and exposures.
• Represent Credit Risk in executive committees and with regulators.
• Establish and chair the Group Credit Risk Committee.
• Oversee underwriting credit risk across Surety, Trade Credit, Mortgage, Structured Credit.
• Monitor investment and counterparty credit risk across the enterprise.
• Lead stress testing and scenario analysis programs.
