Job summary

Everwise Credit Union in Carmel, IN, seeks Director, Enterprise Risk Management to lead the ERM program, embed risk-aware decision-making, and report to the VP.

You will oversee risk identification, aggregation, reporting, governance alignment, and regulatory expectations from NCUA and other bodies, shaping the organization's risk posture.

A collaborative leader with 6+ years in financial services risk, plus 4+ years of people management, and knowledge of COSO ERM and RMIS is ideal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in risk management, business, finance, or related field.
• 6+ years experience in financial services risk management or related area.
• 4+ years in people management or leadership roles.
• Master's degree and/or professional certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mature the ERM framework across the organization.
• Coordinate cross-functional risk assessments and aggregation of enterprise risks.
• Develop KRIs, risk appetite statements, and escalation thresholds.
• Prepare and deliver risk reports to executive leadership and board committees.
• Develop data-driven dashboards and actionable risk insights.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Internal Audit, Fraud, IT Security, and business lines.
• Support vendor risk management activities and third-party risk.
• Maintain enterprise risk management policies and procedures.
• Stay current on NCUA regulations and other supervisory guidance.
• Coordinate documentation for regulatory examinations.
• Guide the ERM team and foster continuous improvement.
