Job summary

Everest is seeking a seasoned Vice President, Credit Risk to lead the enterprise credit risk framework. This role provides independent oversight across underwriting, investments, reinsurance, and credit-sensitive exposures, reporting to the SVP of Financial Risk.

The VP will shape risk appetite, capital allocation, portfolio management, and strategic decision-making, spanning Surety, Trade Credit, Mortgage, and Structured Credit programs, while guiding governance and executive engagement.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in credit risk, enterprise risk management, underwriting, investments, or related financial risk disciplines.
• Deep expertise in P&C underwriting credit risk, particularly within Surety, Trade Credit, Mortgage, Structured Credit, and/or Large Deductible portfolios.
• Experience interacting with executive leadership, boards, regulators, and rating agencies.
• Strong understanding of portfolio management, concentration risk, stress testing, and risk governance.
