Job summary

Athene is seeking a VP Sales, Defined Contribution to drive Apollo DC private assets and Vitera guaranteed income in a key US territory. You will work with recordkeepers and field teams to identify opportunities, activate relationships and accelerate advisor adoption.

The role reports to the Head of DC Wealth Distribution and includes travel of 70%+ within the territory. Candidate should bring 10+ years in retirement plan sales, deep DC advisor networks, and a strong grasp of ERISA.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in retirement plan sales or equivalent
• Established relationships with retirement plan advisors and recordkeeper field teams
• Strong command of advisor-led and recordkeeper channels; translate home office opportunities to field
• Kn owledge of ERISA fundamentals; private assets or guaranteed income desired; ability to develop the other capability
• FINRA Series 6 and 63 or Series 7 required
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Own the annual territory sales target across Apollo and Vitera defined contribution offerings
• Build relationships with retirement plan advisors and recordkeeper field teams; convert national partnerships into local adoption
• Develop and execute a territory plan with priority advisors and measurable sales outcomes
• Lead advisor education, field events, and finalist presentations; bring in product specialists for depth
• Coordinate with Apollo’s Global Wealth field counterparts to align coverage and win together
• Use CRM data, market intelligence, and AI tools to refine targeting and maintain pipeline discipline
