Athene is seeking a VP of Sales, Defined Contribution to lead the sale of Apollo DC private assets and Vitera guaranteed income to retirement advisors across an assigned territory. The role manages relationships with recordkeepers and field teams and reports to the Head of DC Wealth Distribution.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in retirement plan sales, deep advisor networks, ERISA knowledge, and FINRA licenses; travel will be 70%+.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in retirement plan sales with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Established relationships with retirement plan advisors, recordkeepers and defined contribution practices.
• Strong one-on-one and group presentation skills; ability to adapt approach as opportunities develop.
• Knowledge of ERISA fundamentals and either private assets or guaranteed income; ability to develop the other capability.
• FINRA Series 6 and 63 or Series 7 required.
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Responsabilités

• Drive sales of Apollo DC private assets and Vitera guaranteed income to retirement advisors in an assigned territory.
• Build relationships with retirement plan advisors and recordkeeper field teams.
• Develop and execute a territory plan with priority advisors, pipeline milestones, and measurable sales outcomes.
• Lead advisor education, field events, and finalist presentations; coordinate with product specialists as needed.
• Partner with Apollo’s Global Wealth field counterparts to align coverage and win opportunities.
• Coordinate with recordkeeper partners on joint meetings, campaigns, and opportunities.
• Use CRM data, market intelligence, and AI tools to refine targeting and maintain pipeline discipline.
• Own the annual territory sales target across both Apollo and Vitera offerings.
• Travel 70%+ within the territory.
