Job summary

Athene is seeking a VP Sales, Defined Contribution to drive Apollo DC private assets and Vitera guaranteed income to retirement advisors within an assigned territory. The role carries 70%+ travel, targets a national scope, and reports to the Head of DC Wealth Distribution, supported by an internal wholesaler.

Candidates should have 10+ years in retirement plan sales, established advisor networks, knowledge of ERISA, and ideally private assets or guaranteed income.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in retirement plan sales with a track record of meeting goals.
• Established relationships with retirement plan advisors and recordkeepers.
• Strong advisor-led and channel sales experience with field-level execution.
• Knowledge of ERISA fundamentals; private assets or guaranteed income desired.

Responsibilities

• Own the annual territory sales target across Apollo and Vitera DC offerings.
• Build relationships with retirement plan advisors and recordkeeper teams to drive adoption.
• Develop territory plans with priority advisors and measurable sales outcomes.
• Lead advisor education, events, and presentations with product support as needed.
• Coordinate with internal and external partners to refine targeting and pipelines.
