Job summary

Athene seeks a VP of Sales, Defined Contribution to drive Apollo DC private assets and Vitera guaranteed income sales with retirement advisors in a national territory. This role reports to the Head of DC Wealth Distribution and is supported by an internal wholesaler.

Expect 70%+ travel and deep collaboration with recordkeepers and partners. Candidates should have 10+ years in retirement plan sales, strong advisor relationships, and expertise in the DC market and ERISA fundamentals.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in retirement plan sales.
• Established relationships with retirement plan advisors and recordkeeper teams.
• Strong command of advisor-led and recordkeeper channels.
• Knowledge of defined contribution market and ERISA fundamentals; expertise in private assets or guaranteed income.
• Strong presentation and communication skills; adaptable to opportunities.
• FINRA Series 6 and 63 or Series 7 required.
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the annual territory sales target across Apollo and Vitera defined contribution offerings.
• Build relationships with retirement plan advisors and recordkeeper field teams; convert partnerships into local adoption.
• Develop and execute a territory plan with priority advisors and measurable sales outcomes.
• Lead advisor education, field events, and finalist presentations; coordinate with product/investment specialists as needed.
• Collaborate with Apollo’s Global Wealth field counterparts to align coverage and insights.
