Job summary

Athene seeks a seasoned VP Sales, Defined Contribution to drive sales of Apollo DC private assets and Vitera guaranteed income to retirement advisors across an assigned territory. This role reports to the Head of DC Wealth Distribution and requires extensive travel (70%+), collaboration with recordkeeper partners, and strong advisor engagement.

You bring 10+ years of retirement plan sales, deep ERISA knowledge, and a proven ability to build strategic relationships.

Qualifications

10+ years in retirement plan sales or equivalent experience.
Established relationships with retirement plan advisors and recordkeeper field teams.
Knowledge of ERISA fundamentals and defined contribution market; private assets or guaranteed income familiarity.
Strong presentation skills and ability to adapt approach.

Responsibilities

Drive sales of Apollo DC private assets and Vitera guaranteed income to retirement advisors in an assigned territory.
Build relationships with recordkeeper partners and field teams to drive adoption.
Own the annual territory sales target across Apollo and Vitera DC offerings.
Develop and execute a territory plan with priority advisors and measurable sales outcomes.
Lead advisor education, field events, and collaborate with product specialists as needed.
