Job summary

AXS, a global leader in live entertainment technology, is seeking a VP of Data Engineering to lead our worldwide data engineering organization. You will own strategy, architecture, and operation of data platforms, pipelines, and infrastructure powering personalization, analytics, fraud prevention, pricing, and reporting.

Qualifications

• 13+ years in high-growth technology roles with 7+ years leading data teams
• Experience building and operating high-volume data platforms for consumer-facing or transactional systems
• Proven track record defining and delivering data platform roadmaps and scaling teams
• Deep expertise with modern data stacks (warehousing, orchestration, streaming) and cloud platforms

Responsibilities

• Define and advance data engineering strategy and architecture with senior leadership
• Own the data platform roadmap across analytics, personalization, fraud, and reporting
• Oversee scalable batch and real-time data pipelines across the business
• Lead evolution of data lake/warehouse architectures for performance and cost efficiency
• Establish data governance, quality, lineage, and security
• Build and empower a global data engineering team
• Collaborate with Data Science, Product, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to meet analytical needs
• Drive reliability through best practices, CI/CD, and SRE principles
• Translate business goals into actionable data initiatives
• Provide progress updates to CTO and senior leadership
• Manage operating budgets and resources effectively
