Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. seeks a Conversational Design Lead, Vice President, to shape the AI assistant experiences used by 300,000+ employees.

You will define voice and behavior, lead a design team, and partner with product, engineering, and stakeholders to deliver trustworthy, inclusive conversations at scale. You will drive end-to-end design initiatives within a domain, collaborate on a shared design system, and mentor junior designers while advancing diversity and inclusion in the employee

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in conversation design, UX writing/content design, or related UX discipline.
• Hands-on experience designing conversational experiences, deterministic or generative.
• Ability to create visual representations of user journeys (storyboarding, wireframes, prototypes).
• Experience in inclusive design and accessibility guidelines.
• Proven ability to drive customer-centric decision-making and transformational strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a small team of conversational designers and set objectives.
• Set vision for conversational experiences across self-service journeys.
• Evolve the assistant’s voice, tone, and personality with guidelines.
• Own standards for dialogue design, prompts, and system behavior.
• Partner with product design to co-own the agentic design system.
• Diagram flows and prototype interactions for key touchpoints inside domain.
• Collaborate with engineering on how the assistant behaves in production.
• Continuously test and refine prompts and tool configurations.
• Establish quality and evaluation practices for AI responses.
• Promote inclusive design practices and mentor junior designers.
• Represent conversational design to senior stakeholders.
