Job summary

ShiftKey in Irving, TX is seeking a Vice President, Controller to lead the accounting organization end-to-end. You will manage a team of managers and a director, overseeing general ledger, AR, disbursements, tax, and treasury, while driving faster, cleaner close and audit readiness.

You will strengthen internal controls, automate processes, and partner with cross-functional areas to resolve payment reliability issues, with a strong emphasis on leveraging AI within accounting workflows.

Qualifications

• CPA required.
• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience with senior leadership.
• Deep US GAAP knowledge and ownership of financial reporting.
• Willingness to leverage AI in accounting workflows.
• Proven track record scaling processes and controls in fast-growth environments.
• Strong ERP experience.
• Executive presence and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the controllership organization through a director and managers, across GL, AR, vendor disbursements, tax, and treasury.
• Own accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting and monthly close, aiming for speed and clarity.
• Support clean, audit-ready financials and upcoming external audit with urgency.
• Partner with AR and product teams to address payment reliability issues in the marketplace.
• Strengthen internal controls, policies, and overall financial discipline.
• Drive process improvements and automation, including AI tools for scalable operations.
• Collaborate with senior finance and revenue leadership to flag risks and develop leaders.
