Job summary

Bridgewater Bank is seeking a Vice President, Commercial Banking to lead the lending team. You will source, underwrite, structure, and close complex commercial loans while maintaining a growing portfolio and serving clients with expert product knowledge.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President Team Lead, you will participate in loan committees and ensure adherence to policy and regulatory standards, including BSA. Strong relationships and communication are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of related banking experience.
• Experience sourcing, underwriting, structuring, closing, and managing complex commercial real estate loans.
• Formal credit training.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Source, develop and underwrite new financing requests for new and existing customers.
• Maximize profitability through appropriate pricing of loan originations and fee income.
• Attain goals for loan and deposit growth.
• Review, approval and disposition of commercial overdrafts.
• Negotiate terms and structure loan financing based on risk and present to authorities.
• Use collection techniques and restructuring to minimize risk.
• Review loan portfolio for documentation and financial statements; maintain credit quality.
• Participate in weekly loan committee meetings.
• Present information on new credits and annual reviews for committee action.
• Support relationship banking through customer contact and service.
