Job summary

Bridgewater Bank seeks a Vice President, Commercial Banking to lead underwriting, structuring and closing of complex commercial loans while growing a portfolio of loan and deposit relationships. This role reports to the Senior Vice President Team Lead and represents the bank in community affairs.

You will source new financing requests, price transactions, review credits for approval, participate in loan committee meetings, and mentor team members while upholding bank policies and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7+ years of related banking experience.
• Demonstrated experience sourcing, underwriting, structuring, closing, and managing complex commercial real estate loans.
• Formal credit training.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated persuasion skills and ability to develop strong relationships with senior management.

Responsibilities

• Source, develop and underwrite new financing requests for new and existing customers.
• Maximize bank profitability through appropriate pricing of new loan originations and fee income.
• Attain established goals for loan and deposit growth.
• Review, approval and disposition of commercial overdrafts.
• Negotiate terms and structure loan financing based on risk considerations and present credits for approval.
• Use collection techniques and restructuring to minimize loss and risk.
• Review existing loan portfolio for documentation and statements to maintain quality.
• Participate in weekly loan committee meetings.
• Maintain knowledge of loan and deposit programs and bank products.
• Present information on new credit requests and annual reviews for committee action.
