Job summary

Bridgewater Bank is seeking a Vice President, Commercial Banking to lead the lending team and drive new loan and deposit growth. The role entails underwriting, structuring, and closing complex commercial loans, while servicing an existing portfolio and representing the bank in the community.

The candidate will participate in weekly loan committee meetings, maintain knowledge of loan and deposit programs, and promote a high level of customer service and product knowledge across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or related field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of related banking experience.
• Experience sourcing, underwriting, structuring, closing and managing complex commercial real estate loans.
• Formal credit training required.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proven ability to develop strong relationships with senior management.

Responsibilities

• Source, develop and underwrite new financing requests for customers.
• Price loans to meet profitability and fee income goals.
• Achieve loan and deposit growth targets.
• Review and disposition of commercial overdrafts.
• Structure loan financing based on risk and present for approval.
• Use collection and restructuring to minimize losses.
• Review loan portfolio for documentation and financials to maintain quality.
