Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant law firm experience.
• Experience negotiating side letters and investor terms.
• Knowledge of investment management laws and guidance on advisory matters.
• Understanding of OCC regulations and other applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel to the asset management business, focusing on funds and client matters.
• Draft, review and negotiate investment management agreements, side letters and other contracts.
• Support distribution-related legal matters for institutional products and client communications.
• Coordinate with Compliance, Risk and other control functions to resolve issues.
• Manage outside counsel engagements and budgeting for legal projects.
