Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. seeks an experienced Vice President, Assistant General Counsel to join the Global Alternative Investment Solutions team.

You will advise on a broad range of fund products, structure complex vehicles, and manage regulatory risk for a multi-billion-dollar platform. You will collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Risk groups, lead negotiations with counterparties, and guide strategic initiatives across asset classes including hedge funds and private credit.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree required.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant law firm, financial institution, or comparable experience.
• Knowledge of investment management legal issues and applicable regulations.
• Experience structuring vehicles for hedge funds, private credit funds, fund of funds, or separately managed accounts.
• Familiarity with laws such as the Investment Advisers Act.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to Global Alternative Investment Solutions businesses, focusing on hedge funds and private credit.
• Support open and closed-ended hedge funds-of-funds, funds-of-funds, registered funds, SMA mandates, funds-of-one, and sub-advisory arrangements.
• Advise on formation, structuring, and management of fund products, including investment management agreements and side letters.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and other control functions across U.S. and global teams.
• Coordinate with outside counsel and other divisions of Asset & Wealth Management.
• Participate in business committees and cross-functional collaboration with product strategy, finance, marketing, and portfolio management.
• Provide support for special projects and cross-Alternatives initiatives.
