Job summary

Texas Capital Bank in Austin, TX seeks an experienced Asset Based Lending (ABL) professional to drive business development and credit execution. You will lead calls with clients and banking partners, assess transactions, and create detailed credit memos to support underwriting decisions.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in asset-based lending, a finance or real estate degree, formal credit training, and a collaborative, proactive mindset to build lasting client relationships and grow the ABL

Qualifications

In-depth understanding of asset based lending and credit risk generally.
Ability to quickly assess strengths, weaknesses and feasibility of transactions.
Strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building.
Experience selling, delivering and closing ABL loans.
Self-motivated with initiative to develop networks and source transactions.
Familiarity with a wide range of industries and collateral types.
Familiarity with capital structure components from ABL to bank debt and markets.
Clear communication with internal credit partners.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
Team-first mindset to collaborate with banking partners and the ABL team.

Responsibilities

Business development: identify and pursue new ABL opportunities via networking and referrals.
Lead client and prospect calls with commercial and corporate banking partners.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, prospects and referral sources.
Create pitch books and executive summaries prior to calls.
Client assessment: quickly evaluate potential transactions with limited information.
Lead diligence and research calls focusing on key credit topics.
Prepare in-depth credit screening memos for clients.
Monitor pipeline from prospecting to closing.
Guide ABL and deal teams to meet deadlines and client expectations.
Maintain Salesforce pipeline with timely updates.
Travel to markets to pitch and develop networks.
