Job summary

You will shape technical strategy, mentor staff, and collaborate with product owners to align with business goals. The ideal candidate has 6–10 years of experience in mainframe environments, strong problem-solving and leadership skills, and a solid grasp of z/OS, COBOL, JCL, and CICS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Deep mainframe knowledge and z/OS environment expertise.
• Experience with COBOL, JCL, DS tools, CICS and DB2.
• Ability to lead complex app support initiatives and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Partner with multiple technology teams to integrate functions and meet goals.
• Provide expertise in apps support and mainframe best practices.
• Define system scope and objectives for high-impact enhancements.
• Document requirements and assess risks with mitigation options.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Analysts on impact and support needs.
• Advise and coach junior staff; allocate work and guide delivery.
• Ensure risk-aware decisions and compliance with Citi policies.
