Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking a senior software engineer to design and deploy AI platform capabilities across cloud environments. You will build reusable components, leverage Kubernetes/OpenShift, Terraform, and Python to enable secure, scalable AI deployments for enterprise workloads.

The role emphasizes DevOps practices, CI/CD, and collaboration across global teams, focusing on containerized architectures, data governance, and model operations to support AI-enabled services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent job experience.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, design and development.
• Strong hands-on Application Development background in Python (Flask or FAST API).
• Broad understanding of data engineering (SQL, NoSQL, Big Data, Kafka, Redis) and data governance.
• Experience deploying applications on Azure, AWS, and/or GCP using Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with multiprocessing, multithreading, async I/O, performance profiling in Python.
• Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift workloads.
• Experience with RESTful services for large-scale enterprise solutions.
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD (Jenkins) and GitOps.

Responsibilities

• Develop tooling and self-service capabilities for deploying AI solutions.
• Develop Terraform modules and cloud architecture for secure AI deployments at scale.
• Build reusable platform components to scale Generative AI use cases.
• Leverage Kubernetes/OpenShift for containerized workloads.
• Integrate with vector stores for embeddings and AI models.
• Publish architecture decision records for major design decisions.
• Ensure AI platform reliability, scalability, and operability (blue/green, logging, monitoring).
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and on-call rotation.
