Job summary

Lighthouse Technology Services, Inc. is seeking a Vice President of AI Development to guide the architecture and delivery of autonomous AI platforms from Buffalo, NY. This remote role requires entrepreneurial leadership, deep AI/ML knowledge, and strong technical execution across TypeScript/Node, Python, and cloud infra.

You will spearhead migrations to ECS/Fargate, advance agent kernel hardening, and build end-to-end systems for AI-driven ventures with partners and universities.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, AI/ML, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Production experience shipping TypeScript/Node and Python in real-world environments.
• Hands-on experience with frontier-model APIs from major providers.
• Proven ability to work with Linux, Docker, CI/CD and AWS platforms.
• Security-minded approach to autonomous agent deployment and audits.
• Excellent written and spoken English for technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Bring entrepreneurial mindset to turn ideas into products from concept to launch.
• Own and maintain AI agent runtime platform with multiple services.
• Lead AWS migration from dedicated hosts to ECS/Fargate and RDS.
• Develop safe self-deployment mechanisms and agent kernel hardening.
• Design memory systems for ingestion, provenance, and retrieval.
• Create self-learning loop with audit tools and open-weight models.
• Build operator console in React and consumer app in React Native.
• Define venture engine to identify and launch new initiatives.
• Document architecture decisions and conduct security audits.
• Collaborate with autonomous AI co-founder and represent the company externally.
