Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Vice President of Software Engineering for a remote US-based role. You will guide a distributed engineering organization responsible for architecture, delivery, and standards across the SDLC, shaping modern practices with DevSecOps, CI/CD, and AI-enabled tools.

You will mentor talent, influence technical excellence, and drive secure, scalable solutions in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
15+ years of progressive technical experience in software engineering.
7+ years of leadership experience managing software development teams using agile methods and AI tools.
Experience defining software architecture and design standards.
Proven success leading remote and distributed teams with capacity for technical mentorship.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on technical leadership for software engineering teams, focusing on architecture and best practices.
Lead the end-to-end agile software development lifecycle leveraging AI-driven tools.
Drive the adoption of modern engineering practices, including DevSecOps and CI/CD methodologies.
Mentor engineers through technical coaching and architecture reviews.
Evaluate and govern the implementation of AI technologies throughout the software development process.
Foster a culture of innovation and data-driven decision-making within teams.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure scalable and secure solutions.
