Job summary

The Vice President, AI, Data and Data Science at Sims Limited will lead global AI, data, analytics and data science capabilities, reporting to the CTO. You will define strategy, build teams, and partner with operations and business leaders to deliver value across safety, throughput and quality.

You will establish an enterprise AI delivery model, govern data platforms, and supervise agents, copilots and custom AI-enabled applications while ensuring responsible use and production-grade delivery.

Qualifications

• Significant executive or senior leadership experience across AI, data, analytics and technology delivery.
• Experience applying data science and AI in industrial, OT, manufacturing, mining, logistics, or asset-intensive environments.
• Experience taking AI/ML/optimization solutions from problem formulation to production deployment, adoption and value realization.
• Hands-on understanding of modern AI architecture, generative AI, agents, retrieval, model evaluation, MLOps/LLMOps, data engineering, cloud platforms and secure software delivery.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a global AI, data and analytics strategy aligned with Sims’ priorities.
• Lead the data platform, governance and architecture and build trusted data products.
• Develop enterprise AI agents, copilots and AI-enabled applications with reusable patterns.
• Establish secure development-to-production pathways and partner with cross-functional teams.
