Job summary

Tokio Marine HCC Public Risk Group seeks a Vice President, Actuarial and Business Operations, to lead actuarial and operational excellence. You will guide pricing strategy, profitability analyses, and regulatory compliance while partnering with executive leadership to drive growth.

The role requires senior leadership experience in commercial, municipal, or governmental insurance, strong collaboration across functions, and a track record of building scalable processes and teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Business Administration, Insurance, Risk Management, or related field.
• ACAS designation required; FCAS preferred.
• 15+ years in property and casualty insurance with actuarial and leadership experience.
• 5+ years in senior leadership within public entity, municipal, or governmental insurance.
• Experience influencing pricing, profitability analysis, and enterprise initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic actuarial leadership to pricing, profitability, and risk decisions.
• Lead actuarial and financial analyses across products and lines of business.
• Partner with Underwriting and Product Management on pricing and portfolio management.
• Develop scalable actuarial capabilities, reporting tools, and governance processes.
• Prepare executive-level reports on performance, trends, and regulatory matters.
• Build and mentor high-performing actuarial and business operations teams.
