Job summary

Tokio Marine HCC Public Risk Group is seeking a senior actuarial and business operations leader to guide pricing, profitability analysis, and strategic planning across public risk lines. The role reports to the leadership team and partners with underwriting and product management to drive growth and regulatory compliance.

The Vice President will oversee actuarial, compliance, and operations, shaping scalable processes, budgets, and executive communications while building high-performing teams

Qualifications

• ACAS designation required; FCAS designation preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Business Administration, Insurance, Risk Management, or related field.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in property & casualty insurance, with actuarial, business operations, financial planning, or strategic leadership.
• At least 5 years in senior leadership roles within a commercial, municipal, or governmental insurance organization.
• Experience leading pricing, profitability analysis, portfolio performance, strategic planning, or enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Experience partnering with executive leadership on business strategy, financial results, and regulatory matters.
• Knowledge of underwriting, claims, actuarial, compliance, finance, product, distribution, and risk management relationships.
• Experience operating in a regulated, multi-state insurance environment.
• Budget and resource management experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic actuarial and financial leadership for annual plans, budgets, forecasts, and longer-term objectives.
• Lead pricing strategies, segmentation, product structures, and portfolio management with cross-functional partners.
• Monitor regulatory, legal, economic, and loss-cost trends and assess impact on portfolio.
• Develop scalable actuarial capabilities, reporting tools, and governance processes.
• Prepare executive-level reports on performance, trends, and strategic initiatives.
