Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of P&C actuarial experience with a strong reserving background.
• ACAS, FCAS preferred
• Strong attention to detail and analytical & problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Proven ability to manage several projects simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial, statistical, and actuarial data to develop reserving, liability, and cash flow insights that support client and business decision-making
• Perform actuarial calculations to implement or build complex, bespoke reserving models, and analytics-based tools
• Build complex, bespoke reserving calculation models and other analytics-based tools
• Maintain and develop efficiencies for existing actuarial reserving models
• Investigate complex client issues, develop recommendations on outstanding liabilities, and clearly communicate findings through exhibits, reports, and presentations
• Develop a strong understanding of clients' businesses, exposures, and needs to provide informed, practical solutions.
• Support the management and execution of several, simultaneous projects, including coordinating workstreams, guiding team deliverables, and reviewing analysts' work for technical accuracy and quality
• Identify opportunities to support new and existing business, contribute to service offerings expansion, and help strengthen client relationships
• Enhance tools, processes, and methodologies across the practice, including contributing to the use of more advanced reserving approaches
• Contribute toward the development of administrative structural elements for a new team, such as creating training materials and developing standards of practice
