Job summary

Marsh is seeking a Vice President for the Actuarial Claims Consulting Practice to lead advanced reserving solutions for clients. This role blends actuarial expertise, client service, and project leadership across Marsh’s US offices in a hybrid model with three in-office days.

You will develop reserving models, perform complex actuarial calculations, and guide multiple projects while expanding client relations and practice capabilities. A strong P&C background and ACAS/FCAS are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of P&C actuarial experience with a strong reserving background.
• ACAS, FCAS preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, actuarial science, or a related field; other backgrounds may be considered with relevant experience.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Proven ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial, statistical, and actuarial data to develop reserving, liability, and cash flow insights that support client and business decision-making.
• Perform actuarial calculations to implement or build complex, bespoke reserving models and analytics-based tools.
• Build complex, bespoke reserving calculation models and other analytics-based tools.
• Maintain and develop efficiencies for existing actuarial reserving models.
• Investigate complex client issues, develop recommendations on outstanding liabilities, and communicate findings through exhibits, reports, and presentations.
• Develop an understanding of clients' businesses, exposures, and needs to provide informed, practical solutions.
• Support the management and execution of several projects, coordinating workstreams and reviewing analysts' work for technical accuracy.
• Identify opportunities to support new and existing business and strengthen client relationships.
• Enhance tools, processes, and methodologies across the practice, including advanced reserving approaches.
• Contribute to development of training materials and standards of practice for a new team.
